Safe Haven provides safety and security to children and at-risk parents in situations of domestic violence and high conflict in the Grand Traverse six-county service area. The program provides supervised visits for parents who require supervision due to legal decisions and provides a safe place for custodial parents to exchange children without having to interact with each other. It also provides education and support services. Work with other caring and knowledgeable staff members at this respected non-profit to support families in conflict. Key Areas of Responsibility:

· Monitor supervised visits and exchanges with families

· Respond to daily concerns regarding individual clients

· Complete observation reports for all visits and exchanges

· Review proposed visitation and exchange schedule with clients

· Schedule clients for visits and exchanges

· Schedule and complete intakes with new families

· Monitor room schedule for visits and exchanges

· Answer and respond to telephone messages

· Duplication of documentation materials

· Record changes in client status

· Input client data into computer database

· Develop case notes to respond to individual families' cases

· Record keeping including filing, file set up, compile intake materials

· Maintain and balance client billing, when applicable

· Assist Supervisor in daily operations

Qualifications:

· Degree in related social work field desired or comparable experience preferred

· Proficient in Microsoft Office programs

· Ability to communicate well verbally and in written form

· Work well in a team atmosphere

· Good interpersonal and conflict resolution skills

· Flexible working schedule to include late afternoon/early evening shifts, weekends and holidays

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
