Position Summary:
With a focus on selling digital platforms and services developed, offered and/or managed by Crawford Platforms such as Asservio, Digital Desk, and future SaaS products, and other services, this position conducts sales/liaison calls and presentations to prospective clients in assigned territory; develops strategies for new business development for all products and services; promotes quality improvement in delivery services; identify and engage in One Crawford solutions for clients; provides required reporting information; maintains a robust opportunity funnel documented through use of SalesForce; participates in company strategy development.
Responsibilities:
  • Master a variety of products to become a subject matter expert.
  • Identifies and cultivates new business prospects. Close new business.
  • Prepares sales proposals using data from potential client.
  • Makes sales presentations to clients in person or utilizing Microsoft Teams environment.
  • Utilization of SalesForce and maintain a robust opportunity funnel.
  • Work closely with Account Management to maintain and enhance customer relationships and provide seamless program implementation.
  • Continuously evaluates and re-evaluates client needs.
  • Participation in internal business development strategy meetings.
  • Assists in evaluating market conditions, market trends and competitive companies.
  • May provide Market Communications input for development of promotional tools.
  • Maintains awareness of market trends in products, services and packaging of products.
  • Supplies all necessary information for reporting and client setup to ensure successful program implementation and launch.
  • Continues to improve sales skills through courses and seminars.
  • Attends industry functions; upholds professional image of corporation.
  • Participates in special projects as requested.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or discipline related to product lines or an equivalent combination of education and work experience is required.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience.
  • Position requires frequent travel, some of which will be overnight. Sales training may be required by the corporation from time to time.
  • Good working knowledge of general insurance principles, terminology, customs and practices particularly in the property lines of business.
  • Skills in the area of developing new sales leads, proposal preparation, coordination and utilization of technical staff, negotiating techniques.
  • Strong oral and written communications skills.
  • Strengths in networking and relationship development.
  • Outgoing, friendly and confident personality, able to effectively engage with customers across a range of settings spanning one-to-one meetings, exhibitions and formal presentations.
  • Good computer skills; understanding of SalesForce and Microsoft Office.
  • Resourceful in utilization of company and industry resources.
