Summary

The S&OP Production Analyst at our Agribusiness Fertilizer Plant in Rock Springs, Wyoming serves as the onsite coordinator and communication hub between site operations, supply chain, finance, external suppliers, and sometimes sales and marketing teams. This position adds value by coordinating the day-to-day and month end activities to ensure our inventories are correct, issues at the site are appropriately communicated to the appropriate teams, as well as the first level of analysis of what/how our supply and/or transportation capabilities may or may not be able to meet customer demands. This role reports to the S&OP Manager located in our headquarters location in Boise, ID, but will be located onsite in Wyoming and working closely with site leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Provides monthly S&OP updates insuring data accuracy in sales forecasting, inventory management, and monitoring available to sell inventory. In addition, balance supply and demand over an 18-month period.
• Analyze and manage daily communications regarding product availability, production plans, and sales schedules.
• Assists Supply Chain Management (SCM) and site management in planning and scheduling receipt of specified fertilizer raw material products, or products for resale. Communicates order requirements to the appropriate scheduling person and assists in rail car tracing and expediting as defined or required.
• Communicates significant site production and operations issues on a timely basis via phone or email to SCM, Sales & Marketing, and Production personnel as necessary.
• Manage production schedules, inventories, operations concerns and issues, and to communicate production priorities for specific site locations.
• Participates in the site Quality Response Process and coordinates or communicates quality issues with the Boise quality response organization. Participates in the information coordination and communication for accidents or spills involving J. R. Simplot Company products. Provides information to customers and others concerning product specifications, product labels, Material Safety Data Sheet contents, etc. Participates in the communication of Certificates of Analysis (COA) to appropriate parties as required.
• This position will be responsible for a number of defined rail coordination activities necessary for efficient and effective fleet management.
• Works with transportation in the communication and billing of cars, tracks/traces inbound cars and ensures data integrity for the fleet asset systems.

Other Information

Excel, JDE, Brio, Bourque, Steel Roads proficient. Solid Computer and Math Skills. Ability to Solve Problems based off data analysis. Ability to resolve most questions and problems and refers only the most complex issues to higher levels. Tasks and duties are frequently non-routine.
