We are looking for people who enjoy being on the go and meeting people from around the world in a fast-paced work environment with something new every day. This position involves driving, shopping, freight handling, picking up passengers or crew and some light cleaning and record keeping. CLAA is a maritime agency that provides shoreside support to the cruise industry. A Runner is out in the community as the hands and feet of the agency accomplishing scheduled and “surprise” tasks. Communication and time management skills are put to the test every day but the time flies when you are having fun and getting things done.
Responsibilities:
- Drive safely
- Purchase ship spares and stores (parts, supplies, groceries)
- Keep records of errands
- Maintain clean work vehicles (inside and out)
- Communicate with the Dispatcher for status updates
- Transport people to appointments, airport, ships and hotels
- Office and vehicle cleaning Mail and baggage processing
Requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age and eligible to work in the US
- Must possess a good driving record and valid driver’s license
- Have a working cell phone Be able to lift 70 pounds
- Have transportation to and from work
- Able to communicate professionally with vendors, the community, and customers
- Able to follow dispatch direction and assignment
Compensation:
- Positions start at $14/hr for entry level employees and increases based on experience
- Bonus Pay upon successful completion of the season
- Overtime (time and a half) is accrued after 8 hours in a workday and after 40 hours in a week
Schedule:
- Full-time seasonal May through September
- May include overtime and weekends
- Evening shift and Part-time positions are available
Relocation, Housing & Transportation are the responsibility of the employee.

Must reside in Juneau, Alaska or be able to relocate to Juneau, AK to start working by May 15th, 2023
