We are offering flexibility with either a Full Time position (37 hours each week, ie 5 days), or Part Time (from 22.2 hours each week, ie 3 days or more). Please state your preference on your application.

The Salary Range is £35,766.00 – £40,061.00 per annum, which includes an additional £4,000 per annum MFS (pro rata for part-time hours) with a review in 2 years. The salary range without the supplement is £31,766 - £36,061 per annum.

This is a fixed term contract until March 2025.

A secondment opportunity will also be considered for internal candidates, initially until March 2024 extendable until March 2025. Please specify if you wish to be considered for a secondment.

We deliver a vital prevention focused homelessness and housing advice service to rough sleepers and non-bricks and mortar communities (people living in vehicles).

Here at Mendip, we are 100% committed to preventing rough sleeping and homelessness whenever possible, creating local solutions to minimise rough sleeping and find appropriate housing and other solutions to roadside living.

This requires a strategic integrated systems approach across multiple statutory agencies and organisations including housing, health and community related service providers.

That’s where you come in.

You will manage outcomes focused homelessness and housing options services for people sleeping rough or living in vehicles across the district – understanding the challenges they face and ensuring that all agencies take co-ordinated approach to finding a positive outcome for them.

To do this, you will use you experience of managing outcomes focused homelessness, rough sleeping or similar services.

Ideally you understand homelessness legislation, have specialist knowledge of the different types of people we work with and stay up to date with local and national strategies to prevent and tackle rough sleeping.
