Education: B.S. in Mechanical Engineering

Qualifications:

· 5+ years experience in a machine shop / mechanic shop specializing in industrial rotating equipment repair preferably with engineered pump repairs.

· Management position in a machine shop / mechanic shop a plus.

· Understanding of rotating equipment principles to establish repair scope of work and quotes.

· Understanding of welding and manual machining principles / practices to assist in solving technical questions to establish repair scope of work and quotes.

· Familiar with machine shop / mechanic shop quality control practices.

· Proficient in AutoCAD, Word and Excel.

· Must be well organized and able to balance many tasks simultaneously in a fast paced atmosphere.

Responsibilities:

· Review the work to be performed on repairs, refurbishments and other work that comes into the shop. Prepare an estimate of cost and develop a price to be reviewed with the Chief Operations Manager, in a timely manner dictated by customer needs and company goals.

· Provide design recommendations for repair modifications.

· Provide design recommendations for new equipment layouts, such as pump and motor bases.

· Produce all technical drawings, such as parts, fabrications, equipment layouts.

· Work on other assigned projects to develop proposals to obtain additional work for the shop.

· Effectively communicate with customers on repair details, deliveries, field service and any technical related issues that a customer has.

Salary: 50k – 65k, Depending on experience.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
