Job Responsibilities

· Monitor and provide daily oversight of resident care in accordance with facility and state standards through supervising and directing nurse staff

· Report to the Director of nursing to ensure excellence in quality care

· Promote patient independence by establishing goals

· Educate residents and their loved ones to understand condition, medications, and self-care skills

· Resolve patient problems and needs by utilizing multidisciplinary team strategies

· Protect residents and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols, medication administration and storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations

· Document resident care services by charting in patient and department records

· Promote continuity among nursing teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs

· Ensure nursing supply and equipment maintenance needs are met

· Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending workshops and reviewing publications

Qualifications

· Must possess unencumbered RN license in the state of PA upon hire

· Has worked at least one year as a nurse in a supervisory capacity

· Has approximately 2 years' experience in a long-term care OR physical rehab setting

· Possesses effective team problem solving and communication skills

· Prior administrative experience a plus

· Strong communication skills, diplomacy and the ability to take leadership of any situation

Pay: From $40.00 per hour

• Nursing: 1 year (Preferred)
