Saint Joseph's University Medical Center is currently looking for RN's passionate about critical care to join the Emergency Department. Please see below for details and apply with your resume for immediate consideration.
Position: Emergency Department RN
Facility Address: 703 Main St. Paterson, NJ 07503 (30 minutes away from Manhattan)
Shifts: Night shift: 7:00pm-7:30am self-scheduling shifts with a 4th shift required 1 week a month.
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend. Self-scheduling.
Pay: Based on years of experience. Ranges from $43/hr
Shift Differential: Week Evening = $4.30 (11am-11:30pm), Weeknight = $6.45 (7am-7:30pm), Weekend Day = $2.15 (7am-7:30pm), Weekend Evening = $6.45 (11am-11:30pm), Weekend Night = $8.60 (7pm-7:30am)
Must Haves:
· Licensure: RN in the state of NJ. Compact licenses accepted; NY licenses are not.
· Certification: Need at least BLS through AHA. ACLS PALS TNCC would be preferred, but if you do not have them St Joe’s will help you with earning these.
· Experience: At least 1 year of ED, Med/Tele, or ICU Experience
· Education: BSN or enrolled in a BSN program. You do not have to earn BSN within a specific time frame but must provide proof that you are enrolled.
COVID-19 Vaccination Policy: Vaccination required prior to first day of orientation. Can apply for medical or religious exemption. Will provide COVID vaccine if needed.

About the Facility: 650 beds, academic teaching facility, & level II trauma facility. The Emergency Department is a comprehensive stroke center, resuscitation center with 24-hour cardiac catheterization, and a busy trauma center, with a total of 88 treatment areas.
Number of beds: 96 bed Emergency Department. We have a pediatric ED, an observation unit, and 2 sections that make up our geriatric emergency department. Candidates will float between all areas.
Average number of admits per year: 168,000 annual emergency visits and 14% admission rate, making St. Joseph’s University Medical Center not only the busiest emergency department in New Jersey, but also the fifth busiest in the country
