We are searching for a RN –Educator I to perform a wide variety of duties in the area of practice/consultation, education, staff development, research, leadership, other related duties and responsibilities, etc. Position responsibilities involve increasing the quality and cost effectiveness of patient care and evaluation of various outcomes within area of own specialty. Provide functional or technical supervision of assigned personnel within areas of own position responsibilities where scope of supervisory responsibility is limited to direction, guidance, explanation, etc. This position is a Level 2 Nursery Educator position that is a shared position between St. Luke's Hospital and Charlton Memorial Hospital. The person in this role will work collaboratively with the current OB Educators to provide education to Level 2 Nursery staff and other staff as needed. Candidate will also be responsible for Skills Day, Mock Drills, Simulation training, NRP training and other educational training as needed

  • Hours: 32hrs
  • Shift: Flexible shifts & hours; Must be willing to work flexible hours and be available to all three shifts.
  • Location: St. Luke’s Hospital – New Bedford MA

Education and/or Experience Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing is required. A Master’s Degree in Nursing is preferred
  • Demonstrates ability to utilize technology to document, evaluate, and manage educational curriculum.
  • Demonstrates organization, coordination, and time management skills.
  • Must possess and demonstrate highly effective interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills.
  • Must maintain competency within areas of own position responsibilities.
  • Five (5) years of related work experience is required.

Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and COVID 19 and provide required vaccination documentation, unless approved for an exemption or deferral by Southcoast prior to starting employment.
