Bensonhurst Center for Rehabilitation & Healthcare is currently seeking RN Supervisor for 7AM-3PM to join our dynamic team.

The RN Day Nurse Supervisor is directly responsible for supporting the DON and Unit Care Coordinators in the provision of nursing care including the supervision of all nursing staff in the performance of their assigned duties, including upholding the standards of nursing practice within the framework of the organization of the Nursing Department.

RN Supervisor duties include:

Responsible for the overall quality of nursing practices and nursing care administered on the units of assignment.

• Assists the staff in planning for resident care in keeping with the philosophy and the standards established for the department.
• Nursing Care Coordinators in developing and implementing nursing care plans for individual residents.
• Participate in organizational performance improvement program and lead nursing initiatives.
• Gives a thorough and accurate report to the relieving supervisor at change of shift informing him/her of all pertinent information to successfully carry out his/her duties.
• Conduct resident incident investigations and complete formal investigation reports.
• Partner with Infection Prevention and Control team to insure nursing adherence.
• Gives direct nursing care to residents, including medication administration support as needed and directed by the DON.
• Assists in the interpretation of policy and procedure for the facility, for residents, for families and visitors.

Qualifications:

• Associate degree in nursing required with Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Nursing: minimum of 5 years nursing practice with 3 years in long term care
• NYS RN License required
• Candidate must be vaccinated COVID-19

Salary : $55/hour
