Aon is looking for an IT Business Analyst – Global Security Services (GSS)
As part of an industry leading team, this position is responsible for providing analytical and technical support for Risk Technology platforms. You will be a member of the Risk Technology team within Global Security Services.
While the business analyst role involves several aspects, the primary role is to help drive solution-oriented changes within the organization. We are looking for someone with skills in process optimization problem-solving and data analysis.

Responsibility Areas

  • Owning major business analysis implementation work such as business requirements, testing and training plans, test scripts, training material, facilitation of testing and training, and post release support
  • Developing work products that are consistent with technical design specifications
  • Ability to work with colleagues and internal partners to gain an in-depth understanding of requirements
  • Maintaining an acceptable level of technical proficiency in area of focus to understand the interdependencies between the business and technical environment
  • Monitoring technology implementation to ensure business requirements are met
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with varying levels of management
  • Support system end users with communication and issue investigation/resolution
  • Collaborating with team members to deliver quality work products
  • Building confidence to understand a business environment and to add insight into potential business and technology solutions
  • Continually think of the end user and to identify issues specific to system functionality
  • Sound decision-making skills: assess input, analyze situation, and resolve best plan of action
  • Continually recognizing the need for flexibility and an understanding that objectives are subject to change
  • Understand the relevant data from our systems and carry out all required data analysis.
  • Analyze data to understand data limitations, improve data quality and actively contribute to data quality improvement efforts.
  • Maintain updated data documentation

Required Experience:

  • 5+ years of technical business analysis or systems analysis experience
  • Solid understanding of the full SDLC
  • Experience gathering requirements for IT applications
  • Extensive documentation experience (requirements, process maps, use cases, change orders, etc.).
  • Ability to create high-level test scenarios and review detailed test scripts
  • Previous experience supporting technical systems
  • Highly developed oral and written communication skills; strong presentation skills
  • Strong ability to manage vendor relationships
  • Experience with data flow and process flow diagramming
  • Experience working within a structured environment

Preferred Experience

  • Experience working in a large, global environment
  • Experience with data warehousing, reporting, and data analytics
  • Ability to be self-directed and analytical to meet deliverables
  • Ability to solve problems, resolve issues, plan solutions and make pragmatic decisions
  • Familiarity with SnowFlake, Databricks, PowerBI

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in technical or business subject area or equivalent work experience is required.

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is 83,900.00-111,800.00 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.
This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
