SUMMARY: Ensures the safety of all clients riding the bus.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


  • Assists clients when entering/exiting bus, as needed.
  • Assists clients to their classrooms, as needed.
  • Maintains order on bus and ensures all clients remain seated with seat belt fastened.
  • Responds to any medical emergency on bus.
  • Completes all required training.
  • Reports all transportation related incidents to Supervisor.
  • Attends weekly transportation meeting.
  • Follows FCC policies/procedures.
  • Acts as "spotter" when driver backs up bus.
  • Responsible for Bus Roster. Initials beside each clients name as he/she enters/exits bus.
  • Assists driver in checking for any remaining clients on bus at end of morning/afternoon routes.
  • Required to sit in the middle or back of the bus in order to visibly monitor the clients at all times.
  • Must walk the isle at every designated stop to ensure the safety/security of all clients is being maintained.


Maintains confidentiality of all information received regarding Friendship Community Care, Inc., Senior Center programs, and clients. Conditions of confidentiality shall be in compliance with Friendship Community Care Non-Disclosure Policy and HIPPA Policies.

Monday-Friday 6:30am-9:00am & 3:00pm- 4:30pm

Pay: $11.50

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High School diploma and or GED preferred; preferably with one to three months related experience and or training; or equivalent combination of both education and experience.


LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in oneonone and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.


REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.


QUALITY ASSURANCE & COMPLIANCE:
To adhere to the following and comply with all Quality Assurances & HIPAA procedures:

  • The Code of Conduct and Compliance Investigation Procedures as read and discussed in the new employee training must be followed at all times.
  • Consumers progress notes be maintained and completed daily or as needed on the prescribed forms.
  • Consumers records must be maintained weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly. All information must be filed in consumers records as needed and updated as prescribed by funding sources.
