Job Summary:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Retail Sales Specialist to join our energetic team at one of our four unique retail stores: Barefoot Princess, Coconut Kidz, Island Clothiers, or Sandestin Clothing Company. As a Retail Sales Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in creating memorable shopping experiences for our valued customers, driving sales through personalized engagement, product knowledge, and genuine enthusiasm.

Responsibilities:

1. Customer-centric Approach: Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring each guest feels welcomed, valued, and attended to with care.

2. Relationship Building: Build meaningful connections with customers, fostering loyalty and repeat business through genuine interactions.

3. Sales Excellence: Maximize sales opportunities by effectively showcasing product offerings, suggesting complementary items, and inspiring customers to make confident purchasing decisions.

4. Product Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with the latest product lines and be able to demonstrate how new products can enhance customers' existing purchases.

5. Communication: Act as a liaison between customers and managers, providing valuable feedback and insights to improve product offerings and the overall customer experience.

6. Store Presentation: Create an inviting and visually appealing environment that showcases our products' unique attributes. Assist with merchandising activities, including stock maintenance, floor changes, and visual displays.

7. Attention to Detail: Handle multiple customers at fitting rooms, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures while providing attentive and personalized service.

8. Professionalism: Maintain a polished and professional appearance in line with our dress code and image guidelines, representing the brand's ethos.

Requirements:

  • Currently in High School or possess a High School Diploma.
  • Preferably 1 year of previous retail experience, demonstrating a track record of sales success and exceptional customer service.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and establish long-term customer relationships.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on active listening.
  • Passionate about the retail industry, staying updated with the latest trends and products.
  • Enthusiastic, outgoing, and self-motivated, with a genuine passion for providing top-notch service.
  • Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and willingness to contribute to various store activities.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean, organized, and visually appealing store environment.

Education:

Currently in High School or High School Diploma; 1 year of previous retail experience preferred

Basic Required Skills:

  • Provides excellent Customer service to guests in the store.
  • Ability to build relationships with customers.
  • Maximize personal sales at all opportunities.
  • Communicate product and customer feedback to managers.
  • Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
  • Must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process.
  • Demonstrate effective phone etiquette through customer service.

Physical Demands:

  • Most work tasks are performed indoors. Temperature is moderate and controlled by environmental systems.
  • Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 5 hours in length.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, and stretch to fulfill cleaning tasks.
  • Must be able to exert a well-paced ability to maneuver between functions occurring simultaneously.
  • Must be able to lift items weighing up to 25+ lbs. as needed.
  • Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability, and visual acuity.
  • Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors, and other employees.
  • Vision occurs continuously with the most common visual functions being those of near vision and depth perception.
  • Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.
