Summary
The Retail Merchandise Planning Coordinator is primarily responsible for purchase order tracking and maintenance, preparation of files that support store assortment and merchandise planning, and item set up and data integrity. This position is a key partner in the product lifecycle, from initial assortment planning to delivery of product.
Job Description
Primary Duties

Inventory management, including ownership of the retail backlog.

Identifies and takes corrective action to overcome product short-ships and reporting discrepancies.

Owns weekly reporting for inbound receipts and pricing tracker.

Manages item set-up and maintenance for all retail categories.

Maintains product integrity in our system through detailed set up processes and proofing.

Utilizes and assists in creation of seasonal merchandise and planning templates and develops and implements new process improvements as needed.

Supports Retail Planner in developing seasonal merchandise plans and forecasts. In-season, assists with purchases and inventory moves based on actual business trends and product availability.

Assist Retail Planner and other Merchandising team members with special projects.

Perform as an integral member of the team.

Performing duties consistent with the Company’s AAP/EEO goals and policies.

Performing other duties as required/assigned by manager.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
-
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 1+ years’ experience in retail merchandising

Excellent attention to detail and follow through
-
Strong verbal and written communication skills
-
Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively, strong time management skills, ownership and initiative

Strong Excel skills and knowledge base of Windows applications
-
Individual should have good collaboration and communication skills, while adapting to a constantly evolving consumer landscape

Resilient, positive attitude and a passion for retail.

SAP experience a plus
