Multi-Store Operations Manager- (Career Opportunity)

Looking for a fun job in retail operations management supporting and supporting a group of five western wear stores. This could be just the ticket.

Looking to make a change from the pressures of restaurant management, or other retail or multi-unit job. Then take a look at Wandering Cowboys. We have 5 stores, a low pressure and team environment and love helping people pick out western apparel and accessories.

Our stores are all in tourist or military areas which have an influx of shoppers looking for that special western outfit from the Texas Hill Country. Our stores and retail associates deliver a unique Texas Friendly feeling and experience to our shoppers. We also take our western wear to county fairs and rodeo's across the country.

This position will report to the Owner/Founder and will supervise multiple retail stores. Key accountabilities include:

Leadership

• Collaborates with the Owner to establish plans for facility, product selection, merchandising, inventory and sales for store retail.

Operations

• Sets the tone for a great customer experience and coaches managers to achieve store standards and consistently improve retail operations. Frequently travels to each location and may run store in absence of the Store Manager.

Human Resources and Employee Development

• Recruits and develops the right folks for each store team.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in retail management, merchandising, and leadership.

Bachelor or Associates Degree and seven years’ related experience as a retail store manager or supervisor. Preference will be given to candidates with multi-unit retail and soft lines/apparel experience.

Willingness to travel daily to locations in San Antonio, Bandera, and Fort Hood, and future locations as identified.

Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to build and motivate team performance.

Working experience of point of sale, inventory software and basic reporting tools like excel.
