It is the responsibility of the Part-Time ReStore Associate to process and accept payments for the purchase of items, answer general questions about the store and its merchandise, welcome customers to the store, and assist customers.

Key duties & responsibilities:

• Operate a POS Terminal to document sale of merchandise
• Process cash, credit card, and check transactions
• Greet customers, answer questions, and provide assistance as needed
• Answer telephone and provide store information, directions, etc. to callers
• Maintain orderly and clean purchase and showroom areas
• Direct pricing and operation questions to ReStore Manager or designated staff
• Regularly communicate with ReStore Manager regarding sales issues and problems
• Assist in stocking the store with properly priced inventory and in keeping the sales and storage areas organized in a clean, attractive manner
• Greet donors, assist with unloading donations and receiving them into the store
• Exhibit positive working attitude by demonstrating respect for fellow workers, donors, and customers
• Assist customers with transporting purchases to their vehicle when needed
• Perform such other tasks as requested by the ReStore Manager or ReStore Assistant Manager to facilitate a positive customer, donor, and volunteer experience

• The ability to bend, reach and stand for long periods of time

• The ability to repetitively life and move 35-50lbs.

Required skills & experience:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• At least 1 year of experience in Retail and/or Customer Service
• Familiar with computer technology related to Point of Sale retail systems
• Excellent customer service skills
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office software and internet/social media
