RESTORATIVE NURSE LPN – FULL TIME


We are currently seeking to add a Restorative Nurse, LPN to our professional, compassionate nursing team. As the Restorative Nurse, LPN you are a vital member of the clinical reimbursement team, as well as being instrumental in ensuring accurate charting, fall prevention, and monitoring overall progress toward independence and patient recovery.

DUTIES

  • Assists and participates in the development, organization and implementation of the philosophy, objectives, policies, procedures, and standards of nursing care in accordance with the goals of the nursing team.
  • Confers with the Director of Nursing in assessing the quality of nursing care being delivered and recognizes the need for improving or changing nursing practices.
  • Assists with the development, direction, participation, and evaluation of the orientation program for nursing personnel.
  • Makes daily rounds to evaluate customer care, the progress of individual employees, monitor nursing practices, and assist personnel with nursing and educational needs.
  • Remains cognizant of legal aspects of nursing practice, as well as government regulations; demonstrates this in teaching, supervision, and evaluation of resident care.
  • Performs rehabilitation assessments upon all new admission and as requested, for existing residents throughout the center.
  • Performs or supervises the performance of others in the Restorative Nursing Department.
  • Serves as a liaison with all therapists: physical, occupational, and speech.
  • Assures that the resident’s individualized care plan is followed.
  • Participates in Resident Care Plan Committee.
  • Assumes responsibility for utilization review procedures.
  • Acts as on-call nursing clinical resource person, as scheduled.
  • Serve in the role of Medicare Services Coordinator as needed.
  • Puts Customer Service First: Ensures that residents and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere which recognizes the individuals’ needs and rights.
  • Performs other duties as directed.


Requirements :
Current Indiana LPN license in good standing
Restorative Nursing experience in a SNF setting, preferred but willing to train.
Excellent communication, diplomacy, and customer service skills are a must.
