About us - Wisdom Care is a registered NDIS provider who have been supporting participants across Queensland and NSW since 2017, we provide Community Participation, Capacity Building and Supported Accommodation programs. We are the Hunters leading Independent Living Option Program Provider!

About You - You have strong communication skills, human resource management experience and a fierce passion for workplace culture. You enjoy collaboration, strategic planning, and organisation!

About the exciting role – Wisdom Care are looking for our next HR Officer! This role will be essential in the strategic direction of Wisdom Care’s culture and performance and is an opportunity for collaboration and change within the Community Services Sector. You will be responsible for managing the employee life cycle (attraction, recruitment, onboarding, orientation, appraisal, training and development, termination and retention.)

You will be responsible for:

  • Facilitate the recruitment process, including advertising, attracting, screening, and interviewing, onboarding and inducting
  • Assist with the development, implementation, and maintenance of organisational policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations
  • Provide support to managers and employees on HR-related matters, including employment contracts, performance management, and other employee relations issues
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and databases.
  • Assist with administering employee benefits (including overseeing an internal bonus structure) and employee assistance programs

The essentials:

  • Tertiary Qualifications in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Psychology or Business.
  • Previous experience in Human Resources.
  • Knowledge and understanding of industry relevant legislation.

Preferred criteria:

  • An understanding of the Community Services sector
  • An understanding of the SCHADS award
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with other team members and stakeholders

  • Strong communication skills with the capacity to conduct difficult conversations with staff, as needed
