The Resin Technician is responsible for performing tasks related to the manufacturing of resin and latex products at the Richmond Site. Resin Technician(s) directly impact the quality and quantity of product produced, as well as customer service. Each team member is expected to adhere to safety rules necessary to maintain a safe working environment, as well as meet production goals and achieve quality standards.

Major Tasks Include:
  • Filtering of finished product
  • Filling of finished product
  • In-process and finished product testing,
  • Manually clean reactors and all component parts related to breakdown and assembly.
  • Monitor and control resin batch through computer system.
  • Troubleshoot issues/problems if/when necessary.
  • Pre-batch all batches ensuring all raw materials are correct with amount and sku’s.
  • Tank cleaning and selection appropriate to batch size. Maintaining cleanliness of assigned areas.
  • Maintain batch log sheets and all other paperwork for individual batches.
  • Must show ability to read and understand written processing instructions for various products.
  • Perform batch adjustments that QC directs.
  • Pull samples to test batch as required while batch is in process.
  • Wash tanks when batches are completed.
  • Pump completed resins to tank farm.
  • Remove hazardous waste from latex batches and dispose in proper drums.
  • Off-load and load tank wagons of bulk materials.
  • Participation towards completion of other related tasks and duties as directed or needed
  • Must be able to work a pitman’s schedule: 12 hour days alternating working 3 days a week and 4 days a week.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must have the legal right to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship now or in the future for employment visa status
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Must be able to work overtime with or without reasonable accommodation

Preferred Qualification:
  • Background and experience within chemical manufacturing
  • Experience operating a forklift

Schedule: 5:30am-6pm or 5:30pm-6am. 8 weeks on day shift, 8 weeks on night shift rotation.

Potential retention bonus of $500 after 90 days and $1000 after 6 months. This retention bonus is for external hires only.
