We are looking for people who like to work as a team and assist the persons served in the residence (up to 11 adults) in using their strengths to successfully transition into the community. You might be asked to assist with teaching cleaning, cooking, hygiene skills and offer support in strengthening the coping skills needed for a successful recovery. You may be expected to take residents to activities in the community, such as local festivals, AA or NA meetings, outings to local parks, etc. You may also be asked to assist with transportation to and from medical appointments. Residential MISA Advisors are an integral part of each persons served treatment team. You will be expected to facilitate group activities, collaborate with the clinical team and monitor medication . We are a ‘hands off’ program so you will not be asked to bathe or dress individuals.

ABOUT YOU The ‘swing’ shift position is expected to function as a case manager for the residents of the CRR program. In this role, the Residential Advisor will collaborate with other team members, to include JRS, Adult Probation, the clinical team and with medical providers. The Residential Advisor will assist residents with scheduling appointments and accompany residents to appointments as needed. The Residential Advisor will also assist residents with preparing for appointments, to include how to interact with providers to ensure the resident feels heard. The Residential Advisor will also be responsible for completing referrals for community-based programs such as psych rehab. The Residential Advisor will serve as the primary Residential Advisor for a small caseload of residents. In the role of primary, the Residential Advisor will collaborate with the resident to identify, develop, review and evaluate individual goals.

Additionally, as a Residential Advisor you might teach and monitor daily living skills, manage medications, transport residents to self-help community groups and activities and conduct one on one counseling/coaching . We’re looking for employees who are professional, flexible, compassionate, and can remain composed in stressful situations. This is a team-based position. Our sites are like your family home! Your dependability, integrity, empathy for others (both persons served and your fellow teammates), and dedication to teamwork are essential to this position.
