In this position you are a "support" person to our residents'. You would interact and assist with residents at activities such as: bingo, cards, dice games, assist resident's to and from activities, dining room for meals and coffee time, help with room orders from the dining room and snack cart, making sure residents get fresh water daily, passing out clean linens, answer call lights, obtain appropriate staff to complete the resident's needs, and sometimes the residents just want someone to have a conversation with.

No scrubs required just casual dress (everyday wear).

Please note: This position does NOT help with personal care such as bathing or toileting.

St. William's will train for this position.

Shifts could vary from day shift and evening shift but mostly evening shifts during the week and every other weekend. There is a holiday rotation requirement.

Requirements: This position requires an ability to work effectively as a team and independently. Must be detail-oriented, have strong time management and multitasking skills, and be well organized. Individuals must also pass a state-required background study. A CNA certificate is NOT required for this position.

Benefits of a Resident Support employee include:

• Starting Wage of $16.00 per hour.

Paid Time Off starts accruing on your first day of employment.

After the first 2 months of employment, employees are eligible for health insurance if they average 30 hours per week. This benefit has very affordable premiums and is partially paid for by St. William’s Living Center.

After 6 months of employment if you average 20 hours per week, St. William’s Living Center will contribute the equivalent of 3.5% of the employee’s gross wages into a 401k account. Employee contribution is not required.

After the first 2 months of employment, employees are eligible for dental insurance if they average 20 hours per week. This benefit is partially paid for by St. William’s Living Center.

Scholarships available after 3 months of employment for employees looking to further their careers.

After 6 months of employment, employees who average 20 hours of work per week will provide a $25,000 Life Insurance Policy. This is fully paid for by the employer.

After the first 2 months of employment, employees are eligible for voluntary benefits; such as disability, accident, life, cancer, critical illness, and hospital confinement indemnity insurance.
