Residence Manager - Adult Group Home (ResMgr.542) – 40 hrs/wk

East Meadow, NY

Shift: Sunday - Thursday (flexible work hours)

Qualifications:

• Associate’s Degree in a Human Service field or 2 years experience in working with individuals with developmentaldisabilities.
• Valid New York State Driver’s License.
• 2 year of supervisory experience.

Job Responsibilities:

• Supervise direct care staff including but not limited to, scheduling, providing performance feedback, evaluations and corrective actions.
• Must be willing to travel to multiple sites using own vehicle.
• Monitor the condition of the physical plant, equipment and materials utilized by the program.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with agency policies and all applicable Federal, State, and County regulations.
• Participate in the Interdisciplinary Treatment Team planning process.
• Coordinate and schedule appropriate leisure activities.
• Prepare monthly reports as needed to ensure compliance with all departmental policies.
• Act as Supervisor on duty as needed for all program areas.
• On call 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and provide emergency coverage as needed.
• Handle all financial systems, including in-house accounts, savings accounts, clothing allocations, and petty cash.

Non-Essential Functions:

• On an as needed basis, supervise and participate in the provision of direct care tasks that promote good daily work habits in regard to attending to residents' personal needs.

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to bend, lift and push more than 100 pounds.
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
• Provide hand-over-hand assistance when necessary.
