Job description
SCOPE
Inputs guest’s requests to secure rooms with the OnQ system in prompt, Courteous and accurate manner; maximize hotel revenues.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Inputs guests’ reservations for individuals that are requested either by telephone or from within the hotel
- Processes reservations from the Sales Department, Executive office, Travel Agents, and Wholesalers
- Up sells rooms where possible according to established procedures maximize hotel average room rate
- Utilizes yield management strategies to ensure a full house whenever possible
- Processes cancellations, revisions and information updates on changes
- Provide accurate information about the city and the surrounding attractions when asked by guests
- Mails hotel-specific information sheets and brochures to guests as requested
- Stays abreast of current rates, rate changes and all promotions
- Reconciles OTA interfaced bookings
- Runs daily reports for the Revenue Manager and Reservations
- Posts no-show charges
- Puts all voucher envelopes together for front office
- Maintains and adheres to our company values
RELATIONSHIPS
Internal: Hotel Employees: to receive information regarding guest needs or complaints.
External: Hotel Guests: to provide customer service
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma
- Customer Service, Sales or Receptionist Experience
- Interpersonal Skills
