Job description
Under general supervision, independently and in collaboration with others, this position will be responsible for conducting general laboratory duties on ongoing research projects, including but not limited to, basic virology and molecular biology research in the HIV field.
- May also provide interpretation and initial analysis of results
- May investigate, troubleshoot and modify methods and procedures.
- May assist in designing experiments.
- Perform other related duties, tasks and responsibilities as required or assigned.
Commensurate with experience.
A bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- This individual must be well organized, a self-starter, and efficient communicator with the ability to work with all personality types.
- Previous experience with general molecular biology techniques.
- Effective and proven communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize based on deadlines.
- Experience in a research environment including the ability to follow research protocols and record research data.
