Job Overview:
- Maintains compliance with established laboratory safety and other procedures.
- Ensures the proper disposal of infectious and hazardous materials.
- Applies quality control measures as outlined/required by the protocol. Provides basic data analysis.
- Performs laboratory research projects, including collection and organization of data, and maintaining databases. Makes detailed observations on experiments.
- Orders supplies, chemicals and reagents and maintains lab inventory.
- Assists in the preparation of reports, publications, and presentations.
- Follows instructions and standard operating procedures to perform expected tasks.
- May provide basic instruction to other lab staff.
- May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed by the supervisor.
- This may include attendance of and participation in required training for role.
- A B.S or M.S. degree in biochemistry, molecular biology, cell biology, cancer biology, or microbiology is required.
- Knowledge of standard laboratory techniques and ability to follow general instructions.
- Independence, creativity, communication, analytical and writing skills and a strong academic record will be a plus.
- Experiences with recombinant DNA techniques, protein purification, DNA transfection, lentivirus and adenovirus vectors, CRISPR-Cas9, mammalian cell culture, T/B cell biology, reporter assays, and RT-PCR are highly desirable.
- Lifting: Requires lifting materials up to 10 lbs.
- Lifting: Requires lifting materials over 25 lbs.
- Ability to stand or sit at a computer for prolonged periods

- This position will take place primarily in a laboratory setting.

- Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum of 3-5 years experience required
- Research Assistant II
- Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum of 0-2 years experience required
