Main Function:

The Reliability Maintenance Specialist provides support to the Reliability Engineering and Operations teams by:

  • Maintenance & development of Predictive Maintenance activities across the Ponca City Plant.

  • Analysis of Mechanical Equipment Failures to identify causes using RCA techniques like Cause-Map etc.

  • Identify & implement strategies for improving asset reliability and maintenance execution.

  • Develop & Maintain Plant Performance Reporting Systems for Mechanical Equipment.

  • Identification and implementation of reliability and plant improvement projects.

  • Provide technical support to the Operations and Maintenance teams to improve plant throughput.

    Duties & responsibilities:

  • Pro-actively promote compliance of corporate occupational health, Safety & Environment policies and procedures and relevant regulations and statutory requirements in order to meet, or better, the CCC business plan.

  • Actively promote safety awareness for employees and contract personnel.

  • Prompt investigation and reporting of accidents, hazards and incidents.

  • Lead or Assist with incident investigation and reporting.

  • Work in a responsible manner that promotes personal safety and demonstrates leadership to others.

    Reliability Maintenance/Engineering Support:

  • Carry out condition monitoring of critical rotary equipment in order to recommend optimum maintenance activities.

  • Identify and advise repair priorities on all failures.

  • Analyze and identify the root causes of failures for high priority/critical items.

  • Ensure root cause of failure information is recorded.

  • Recommend & implement appropriate actions to improve reliability.

  • In conjunction with Planner, review and modify relevant maintenance processes, procedures, services, inspection frequencies for establishing and driving reliability engineering & best work practices.

  • Initiate engineering action required to solve reliability issues.

  • Support Maintenance to solve problem / immediate issues.

  • Assist in the design, planning, estimation, installation and commissioning of new or recommended equipment changes to improve reliability.

  • Coordinate and assist in reviewing reliability designs and recommendations from Consultants and/or manufacturers.

  • Produce change implementation schedules to improve reliability of rotary equipment and ensure they are managed accordingly to the agreed plan.

  • Determine impact of reliability actions and assess financial and commercial risk of alternate courses of action.

  • Update regularly the reliability management database and monthly reports.

  • Assist and support to review inventory of critical spares.

  • Support Planner to maintain the inventory of the spares for rotary equipment.

  • Develop and maintain a professional, motivated work-team environment when in a supervisory role.

  • Identify the requirement of proper tools for overhauling of rotary equipment and assist for procurement of identified tools.

  • Maintain the special tools for overhauling & monitoring of equipment in good condition.

Education & Experience:

  • Minimum High school diploma

  • Millwright Certification (NCCER Level 4) or equivalent.

  • Minimum of 5 years of millwright experience working with air compressors and dryers, blowers, turbines, generators, fans, and pumps in an industrial environment

  • Minimum 3 years in Foreman / lead position for a group of millwright fitters preferred.

  • Experience installing turbines and generator sets

  • Experience with installation and commissioning of rotating equipment

  • Extensive knowledge of construction equipment and machinery

  • Efficient time-management skills.

  • Effective communicator.
