The Registrar & Director of EnrollmentTechnology reports directly to the Dean of Student Enrollment Services and is responsible for the implementation and ongoing support of student information management systems within the Student Enrollment Services Division and for the planning, oversight, and management of all student academic records and for the administration of all services and operations in the Registrar’s Office. The Registrar/Director of Enrollment Technology will work closely with the Dean of Student Enrollment Services to provide technical support to Student Services in addition to Advising, Instruction, and Information Technology Services to create and use technology collaboratively with the goal of assisting a diverse audience of prospective students in progressing from interest to enrollment and success.

REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES

  • Implements and maintains a diverse set of technologies and processes, including but not limited to Blackbaud (Student Information System (SIS), Slate Customer Relations Management( CRM), and other technology solutions designed to increase student engagement and persistence.
  • Collaborates and coordinates with Student Enrollment Services, Advising, Marketing, and other college departments and programs in implementing and managing technology and database solutions for the purpose of engaging and supporting the enrollment and retention of a diverse student body.
  • Works collaboratively with Advising, Outreach and Recruitment, Marketing, and the Registrar’Office to determine workflow and assist with the selection of software tools and solutions.
  • Serves on campus committees representing Enrollment Services. Identifies strategic opportunities to leverage and related technology to support college enrollment, retention, and completion goals.
  • Coordinates and manages all aspects of student records.
  • Directs and supervises staff located at the Registrar’s Office. Manages personnel performance and office functions to ensure an effective operation with excellent customer service.
  • Develops the Registrar Office operational budget requests and manages approved budget accordingly.
  • Oversees registration-related functions of SIS enterprise system including establishing, with departments, appropriate enrollment caps, course wait listing policies and procedures, and manages “no show” and”early warning” reporting from faculty.
  • Assists Provost, Dean of Enrollment Services, academic programs, and another university department with reports related to accreditation, program review, and strategic planning.
  • Oversees compilation of degree candidates’ lists and honors lists.
  • Supports Provost’s Office and Institute Directors with class schedule production including classroom assignments, review of appeals regarding grades, and other academic issues including orientation of new faculty and catalog revisions.
  • Works with internal departments and partner organizations to manage enrollment functions for continuing education course/program offerings.
  • Provides leadership in the continuous improvement and enhancements of SIS Portals with emphasis on the implementation of online registration, providing web services for continuing education constituencies.
  • Develops and provides overall supervision of transfer credit policies and evaluations including determination of acceptance of courses/credits from non-accredited institutions.
  • Participates as an ex-officio member of the Undergraduate and Graduate Studies committees and the UniversityCoordinating Council

KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS

  • Knowledge of enterprise/student information system software (CAMS and/or Blackbaud preferred).
  • Knowledge of federal laws regarding confidential access and information of student records.
  • Knowledge of the interpretation and implementation of academic records policies and procedures.
  • Skill in developing and maintaining an effective office team and ensuring excellent customer relations with students, faculty, university staff, and external constituencies.
  • Skill in providing exceptional service in all responsibilities and interactions.
  • Skill in adapting to changing priorities and responsibilities.
  • Skill in maintaining a high level of accuracy, and consistently reviewing work to detect errors, oversights, or omissions.
  • Skill in verbal and written communication appropriate to a collegiate setting.
  • Skill in working effectively with a diverse population.

MINIMUM EDUCATION QUALIFICATION

Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s preferred.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATION

Non-Supervisory: 5-10 years experience in registrar, student information systems or related technology, and/or academic administration functions. Experience in higher education or non-profit management preferred.

AND

Supervisory: Two (2) years of experience involving supervising employees in academic administration, technology, or records management.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Current and valid driver’s license is required with the ability to pass a driving record check and driving test.
