***$5,000 - Sign-On Bonus for Full-time externals, pro-rated for Part-time***

Medical Office RN Surgical Services- Poughkeepsie, NY 40 hours per week, 8 hour shifts 8:00am-4:30pm.

Summary:
To assist the physician or physician assistant in providing primary medical care to the patients of the Office Practice.

Responsibilities:
Coordinates with the hospital unit for continuum of care and ensures patients receive proper follow-up care.

Patient Care

Obtain all outside medical records and test results from referring physician

Review patient schedule with physician and plan for clinical day.

Clean treatment rooms and ensure that proper supplies are available.

Escort patient to treatment room and perform basic routine testing ( vitals)

Assist surgeons with entire patient visit, and biopsies.

Verify and complete Home Health Forms, disability, etc.

Provide Diagnosis and Procedure appropriate education materials and guidance to patients.

Clinical patient calls

Inform patients of results of testing and ongoing treatment plan, after review with physician.

Answer/Triage all clinical issues.

Ensures that patient have follow-up testing and appointment with physicians.

Develops a working relationship with referring physicians.

Assumes responsibility for patient flow with Radiology.

Track patients through complete care at HQMP Division of General Surgery and Vassar Brother Medical Center or other surgical facility.

Ensures that patient have all information and questions answered about their health.

Assumes responsibility for tracking patient through radiology, lab, pathology and other testing procedures.

Assists physician with History and Physical for surgery cases.

Coordinates with the hospital unit for continuum of care and ensures patients receive proper follow-up care.
