Job Description:
We are currently seeking skilled and compassionate Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurses (RN) to join our team at Atrium Health CMC. As an ICU RN, you will provide specialized nursing care to critically ill patients in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. You will assess patient conditions, monitor vital signs, administer medications, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit
- Assess and monitor patient conditions, including vital signs and laboratory results
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Utilize advanced monitoring equipment and interpret data to identify changes in patient conditions
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Assist with invasive procedures and provide support during emergencies
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient care
Qualifications:
- Active RN license in the state of North Carolina
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- NIHSS certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in an ICU setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Shift Pattern:
This is a 13-week contract position with a shift pattern of 3x12s (36 hours) from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.
Pay and Benefits:
