Hourly range for Registered Nurses $36.10-$55.99 / hour
Hourly range for Registered Nurses (0-11 months experience) $36.10 / hour
Hourly range for Registered Nurses (12+ months experience) $36.16-$55.99 / hour
Evening Shift Differential- $2.55 / hour
Night Shift Differential- $3.40 / hour
Day Shift Weekend Differential- $1.75 / hour
Evening Shift Weekend Differential- $4.30 / hour
Night Shift Weekend Differential- $5.15 / hour
Charge Nurse Differential- $1.00 / hour

Responsibilities*

Provide expert level of direct nursing care related to vascular access services (VAS), includes evaluation, pre/post venous access, device placement and monitoring.
Provide vascular access care across all age populations.
Support and comply with the Infusion Nurses Society (INS) standards of practice and maintain the quality of venous access care.
Facilitate communication among members of the health care team; provide consultation and resource for all VAS customers.
Active participation on committees within the department.

Nursing Specific Info

Salary & Nursing Framework Level:
This UMPNC RN posting is posted as Nursing Framework LEVEL C.
Actual Nursing Framework LEVEL and salary will be determined at time of hire.
Nursing Framework levels range from Level A to Level F.

Required qualifications must be met by the candidate in order to be interviewed and considered for the position. Posting may be filled after the initial 5-day posting period.
Applicants who have left the UMPNC bargaining unit must include on their resume dates of past employment including months and years of service along with effort. Positions less than 20 hours/week may be combined.

Required Qualifications*

? Current license to practice nursing in the State of Michigan
? Three (3) or more years of recent RN nursing experience
? Must function independently in a collaborative environment
? Ability to assess appropriateness of vascular access devices and prioritize workload
? Two (2) or more years of current PIV insertion experience
? Proficiency with using ultrasound guidance for PIV insertion

REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE CONSTANT STANDING AND WALKING; TRANSPORTING OF EQUIPMENT & ULTRASOUND MACHINES; FREQUENT BENDING AND TWISTING AT PATIENT BEDSIDES.

Desired Qualifications*

? BSN
? Certification in Infusion Nursing and/or Vascular Access
? Active member of a vascular access related professional organization
? Vascular Access Team Nursing experience including adult and pediatric patient populations
? Recent experience specializing in advanced intravenous therapy access and skills
? Excellent verbal and written communication skills
? One (1) or more years of current PICC and Midline insertion
Work Schedule

Hours: 32 hours per week (0.8 FTE)
Shift: Evening shift, 8 hour shifts, 2 out of 4 weekends/month
**Location: Vascular Access Team - Adult and Pediatric Population

This position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement between the U-M and the Michigan Nurses Association and the U-M Professional Nurse Council union, which contains and settles all matters with respect to wages, benefits, hours and other terms and conditions of employment.
