Overview:

Embark Behavioral Health in Marion, Montana offers coed Short-Term Residential care and support for preteen and teen girls and boys ages 12-17 who may be struggling with behavioral health issues. Our inpatient facility is proud to offer students and families in Montana and around the country customized mental health treatment from clinicians who use evidence-based methods. Preteens and teens enrolled in our facility are provided with treatment for mental health issues like anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and more in a healing, nurturing environment so they can overcome mental health issues that may be affecting their everyday life.

Short-term residential treatment at Embark Behavioral Health in Marion typically lasts between one and three months. Preteens and teens best suited for short-term mental health treatment often come to our Montana facility from another program or an unsuccessful living environment seeking 24-hour care. At our trusted, therapeutic campus, a 45 minute drive from Kalispell, MT, we provide empathetic and supportive inpatient treatment that helps preteens and teens overcome mental health challenges like anxiety and depression so they can manage their daily life tasks and make healthy lifestyle changes.

This is an opportunity for a Certified RN who is passionate about adolescent healthcare in Marion, MT. The RN will provided care to adolescents in a short-term residential treatment setting, as well as engaging and supporting family members. This individual is responsible for assessing and providing general medical and psychiatric care for adolescent’s illnesses and pain. This individual will work closely with program staff, psychiatrist, adolescents and their caregivers to meet treatment goals. RN are responsible for completing documentation and complying with all licensing regulations.

Responsibilities:
  • Complete initial medial assessment, documentation, and organize medications.
  • Respond to reports of pain or sickness as they arise and assess the student.
  • Determine when a student is to be placed on sick bed due to illness or pain.
  • Accompany clients to clinic or hospital should the situation arise; communicate findings to the clients' caregivers and to the Clinical Director.
  • Check the vital signs and weight of clients as assigned.
  • Accurately disperse student medications and make record in the Medication Administration Record.
  • Count and track narcotics every shift.
  • Monitor clients regarding mood, behavior and affect, and then chart the findings. (Particularly when a client is starting a new medication.)
  • Communicate any pertinent medical information to the client, caregivers, program staff, and Psychiatrist either verbally or in written form.
  • Assist night watch staff with care of clients.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Current nursing license (RN) to practice nursing in the state of Montana
  • Valid Montana Driver License
  • Maintain current First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Knowledge of standard medical terminology and technique.
  • Knowledge of legal charting procedure and requirements.
  • Knowledge of medications and procedure for medication administration.
  • Ability to check vital signs.
  • Skill in using nursing tools and equipment (e.g., needles, thermometers, diagnostic tests, stethoscope, blood pressure cuffs, etc.)
  • Skill in assessing the physical condition of the students.
  • Skill in communicating medical situations accurately to students, parents, and co-workers.
  • Ability to use word processing software and to navigate networks.
  • Experience or knowledge of health insurance submission processes.
