Registered Nurse - Acute – Emergency Department

• Positions working 20+ hours/week may be eligible for a sign-on bonus.

Marshfield Medical Center – Marshfield has a newly constructed 38-bed combined Emergency & Urgent Care department in an Adult/Pediatric Level 2 Trauma Center.

Marshfield Medical Center - River Region Stevens Point Campus that includes a 24-hour Emergency department.

Marshfield Medical Center - River Region Wisconsin Rapids Campus opening soon.

The Registered Nurse-Acute functions as a vital member of the healthcare team by demonstrating a customer/patient focus, effective communication, professionalism self-development, and teamwork. The individual utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate comprehensive care provided to selected patient populations and their families. The Registered Nurse-Hospital is expected to demonstrate excellent clinical, problem-solving, interpersonal and leadership skills and make decisions consistent with hospital policies, department protocols/guidelines, and the Wisconsin Nurse Practice Act.

Requires a graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Current State of Wisconsin RN License or Nurse Compact License. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire; at time of hire preferred. Department - specific certifications, licenses, or memberships - and/or - affiliated staff privileges at associated hospital may be required (varies by department/location).
