Come join our Venice Family Clinic team as a Dental Assistant. Under the guidance and general supervision of the Senior Dentist, you will perform dental assisting for our Venice Family Clinic's dental program. This role will also support the Virtual Dental Home (VDH) Program, which uses teledentistry to provide comprehensive dental care. Duties include the coordination of patient flow and providing dental assistance in both clinical and community settings.

Salary Range: $25.65 - $33.83 Hourly

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

  • A minimum of 5 years of work experience as a Dental Assistant.
  • An active CA Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license that is in good standing.
  • A Sealant permit and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • California Dental Board-approved courses in the California Dental Practice Act and in infection control.
  • Working knowledge of principles of asepsis, sterilization procedures, and infection control.
  • Working knowledge of four-handed dentistry, dental terminology, materials, equipment, and procedures related to dentistry.
  • Ability to organize and maintain an inventory of dental instruments, equipment, and supplies in the dental operatory.
  • Organizational skills, effective verbal and written communication skills, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple demands and frequent interruptions, and ability to recognize emergency situations and respond appropriately.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
