Eaton’s AER Aerospace Group is currently seeking a Regional Quality Manager.


Position Overview:

This position can be based at any Eaton US facility or US based remote office.

This position is a key leadership role within the Quality organization for the Fluid & Electrical Distribution group and has oversight of 8 plants within the US and Mexico. Reporting into the Global Director of Quality, the Regional Quality Manager is responsible for overall Quality leadership to the operations within their region. This includes implementing global Aerospace, Industrial Sector and Corporate Quality programs, goals and objectives. This position will collaborate closely with Aerospace Group Leadership to develop and deploy the Aerospace Quality strategy. The Regional Quality Manager will lead efforts to integrate quality into strategic roadmaps and build a Quality organizational structure to support these strategic initiatives.


Essential responsibilities include:
  • Drive Quality improvement efforts, at the plant level, through regular reviews of the plant Quality Management System, leading indicators, and lagging indicators.
  • Ensure the regional plants comply with applicable Eaton, customer and industry-specific Quality requirements by conducting the necessary audits and assessments to determine system effectiveness.
  • Manage the development, implementation, and use of the Balanced Scorecard tool to all levels of the organization (Region and Plant).
  • Analyze key quality-related operational metrics and perform periodic reviews to evaluate results and establish action plans
  • Lead the sharing of best / transferable practices across the Region and Aerospace Group for the Quality function.
  • Champion the Eaton Quality Management System within the Region.
  • Identify and lead initiatives across the organization to address common barriers for the plants and enable process improvements.
  • Support the Operations Assessment (OpA) process as a Lead Assessor for Quality and represent the Quality Function in the OpA Leadership Review process.
  • Maintain overall ownership of the Quality Alert and Escape Management process for the Region.
  • Lead the deployment of the Quality strategies within the region, including the Quality Leading Indicator (QLI) Strategy and the Eaton Zero Defect Process
  • Lead individual plant Quality functions on an interim basis, as needed.
  • Provide functional Leadership for Quality Information Systems projects.


Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum ten (10) years progressive experience in Quality, Manufacturing and/or Engineering functions
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in a multi-site leadership role
  • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship both now and in the future

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Quality leadership experience within the aerospace or automotive industry
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or comparable technical discipline with Master of Business Administration preferred
  • Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Manager of Quality / Organizational Excellence (CQM / OE), ISO-9001 Auditor and Six Sigma Blackbelt
  • QMS Assessor, Lead Auditor and Trainer Certified
  • Bilingual preferred

The expected annual salary range for this role is $131249.97 - $192499.96 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.
