Description:

The Region Manager is responsible for the day to day operations of all EDMO programs in their region. This role specifically oversees in person programming. The Region Manager also oversees scheduling, training and feedback cycles for staff.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Develop and support EDMO programs under their charge during the school year and the summer
  • Oversee all programs staff connected to the programs they manage
  • Manage and maintain partnership with districts in Sacramento, Corning, and Denair
  • Assist in renewal and continuation of current partnership
  • Manage all data entry, invoice narratives and attendance tracking
  • Maintain and oversee all food service requirements for programs
  • Attend all Region Manager focused meetings and trainings
  • Actively build and maintain relationships with schools, local organizations, and funders to help promote and support the programs
  • Evaluate and assess program strengths and weaknesses and think strategically about opportunities, adjustments, new ideas, and ways to improve programs
  • Coach, manage and help train all program staff
  • Visit sites as needed while programs are running- be prepared to assist in anyway needed across all EDMO programs in cases of an emergency
  • Sub for programs when necessary

  • Bachelor's Degree in education or a related course of study
  • Experience working with youth of all ages
  • Past involvement in a summer camp or after school program environment as staff
  • Experience hiring, managing, and coaching a team of employees
  • Experience (and a love for!) working with kids
  • High sense of responsibility and dependability
  • Experience interacting with parents
  • Skilled in problem solving, multi tasking, creativity and flexibility
  • Experience facilitating groups of children and/or staff
  • Collaborative, patient and positive attitude with a willingness to problem solve
  • High level of experience providing feedback
  • Knowledge about Social and Emotional learning a plus!
  • You must have a car and a valid driver's license

  • Full benefits package including: medical, dental, vision and 401K match up to 4%
  • This role is both in person (traveling to visit programs and assisting there) and online for some of your work.
  • This position will have summer programs in Sacramento, Corning, and Denair. The Corning and Denair programs will not run at the same time. This role also has a school year element and a program running in Sacramento.
  • You will also be required to travel once a year for in person retreats to collaborate with other Full Time Team members. Travel expenses will be paid by the org.
