Position Reports to: Senior Director of Operations & Programs

Primary Interfaces: General Managers, Program Managers, Unit Directors, COO, Senior Directors, and HR Coordinator

Direct Reports: None

Compensation: $21-$23/hr (20-25 hours/week)

POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Recruitment Operations Coordinator is a part-time position reporting to the Senior Director of Operations & Programs of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Orange Coast. The Recruitment Operations Coordinator will work in concert with the Senior Director of Operations & Programs to ensure the deliverance of high-quality programs and services that enhance the lives our club members and their families.

The Recruitment Operations Coordinator ’s primary focus will be to support the Operations team in creating a first-class experience for our members, families, and stakeholders. The Recruitment Operations Coordinator will play a key role in supporting with staffing logistics, facilities maintenance, ensuring weekly deposits are properly reconciled, and provide an additional layer of oversight in ensuring our buildings are functioning at optimal capacity. The Recruitment Operations Coordinator will also be to interacting with the Finance Department and Resources Development Department, working as part of a cross-functional team to achieve the goals of the Operations Department as well as the organization.

KEY ROLES:

Commitment to Safety

1. Contribute to environment of safety through the learning and implementation and monitoring of all safety-related best practices, policies, and procedures.

2. Promote accountability to safety through consistent observation, adherence to all safety rules and practices and proactive communication among members, parents, peers, and leadership.

3. Obtain and maintain Mandated Reporter training and complete annual Child Abuse Prevention training.

4. Complete training and participate in all Emergency Preparedness protocols including drills and communication practices.

Recruitment Support

1. Conduct phone screenings of candidates

2. Interview candidates

3. Monitor the applicant tracking system

4. Review and screen resumes to determine whether candidates meet the qualifications and cultural fit

5. Perform reference checks

Personnel Support

1. Manage Operations Staffing form, updating current staffing needs.

2. Support recruitment efforts by participating in new hires interviews, and supporting the planning and execution of hiring fairs and career fairs.

3. Support HR Associate with onboarding & training requirements tracking including background checks, reference checks, staff photo, uniform and badge distribution, and professional development trainings.

4. Schedule introductory sessions for Senior Leadership and new Mentor Professionals.

Program Support/Additional Responsibilities

1. Communicate with General Managers to obtain request for facility related items to be purchased.

2. Assist in the research and vetting process to purchase additional items that will maintain or enhance the quality of facilities.

3. Coordinate service, delivery, installation, and/or completion of facility items.

4. Work with Corporate Office to carry out special projects and events.

5. Provide support with software implementation, such as Regpack and Kitrax.

6. Assume other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 48 college units, preferred.
  • Driver license, valid auto insurance and reliable transportation.
  • Affinity for youth development programs, policies, principles, and practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize, direct and coordinate projects.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and to develop solutions to problems with limited supervision.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Ability to establish and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated sound judgment, tact and willingness to take initiative.
  • Proficiency in office-based computer programs.
