Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver an innovative recruitment strategy for United’s talent needs.
  • Build and promote sourcing strategies and lead talent acquisition projects.
  • Responsible for leading a team of recruiters, tasked with the sourcing and recruiting processes vital to fill open or anticipated positions
  • Provide ongoing leadership, coaching and direction to team
  • Meet regularly with leaders to maintain relationships and understand overall talent needs
  • Ability to use and leverage data to advise business decisions
  • Design and share scorecards to keep leaders informed of status and progress of talent initiatives to measure progress, see opportunities, etc.
  • Manage an active requisition load as well as manage a pipeline of passive candidates at all times
  • Facilitate the continuous improvement of internal talent attraction and talent movement processes across the enterprise
  • Will partner with our HR Business Partners and Diversity & Inclusion team to define and address DEI needs/opportunities for our internal clients, as well as represent United brand at career fairs, community, and civic events
  • This individual is a team player and collaborator who will actively contribute to the evolution of the Talent Acquisition group.

What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in Human Resources or related field
  • Minimum 3 years prior experience leading a team with direct reports
  • Minimum 7 years of Talent Acquisition experience; preferably in a large corporate setting
  • Evidence of excellence in client service
  • Experience recruiting high volume in a Corporate and/or Operations environment
  • Ability to handle critical and confidential information
  • Tech savvy and technical ability to apply applicant tracking systems and other technologies (video interviewing, mobile, texting)
  • Effectively lead competing demands in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • Comprehensive understanding of recruiting and operations practices, programs, and plans
  • Extensive knowledge of recruiting program administration
  • Detailed understanding of federal and state laws and regulations relating to employment
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Must be customer focused and maintain successful working relationships at all levels
  • Strong social media intel and can effectively use for recruiting
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office as well as Apple products
  • Adept at developing sourcing strategies for large-scale staffing projects
  • Ability to deliver and create a convincing narrative through data and metrics
  • Experience managing a large budget
  • Ability to navigate through multi-layered environment
  • Demonstrated understanding of Change Management
  • Ability to communicate effectively with leaders and partners at varying levels
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is a crucial function of the position

  • Prior usage of CRM, and other recruitment pipelining tools
  • Strong communication skills through media as well as in person
  • 3-5 years Taleo experience preferred
  • PHR or SPHR
  • Talent Advisor certification
  • LinkedIn Recruiter certification
  • Project Management certification
  • Planning and budgeting skills
  • Analytical thinking skills
  • Process and/or Project Management skills
