SAFY is seeking a full time Talent Acquisition Specialist for our America Division. This is a remote. Preferred residence in one of the following states: Alabama, Colorado, Indiana, Kentucky, Nevada, Ohio, or South Carolina.

As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will be responsible for the ongoing process of attracting and engaging talent including but not limited to networking, sourcing, screening, recruiting and recommending placement of staff by using innovative internal and external sourcing methods. This position will partner with Marketing and Communications to develop employer branding tools for internal and external audiences to generate interest in our organization.

What You’ll Do

  • Delivers all facets of recruitment and staffing for the organization by employing multiple and innovative sourcing strategies and resources, screens applicants, drafts and extends offers.
  • Utilizes various social media platforms to source and research talent in local markets.
  • Negotiates advertising contracts and/or partners with outside contract recruiters to provide assistance with hard to fill positions.
  • Lead employer branding, marketing and communication initiatives.
  • Creates and shares quarterly talent acquisition plan to share various hiring strategies.
  • Uses traditional and nontraditional resources, such as career fairs, online job fairs, community networking events, university contacts, etc. to identify and attract quality candidates.
  • Partners with hiring manager to determine staffing needs.
  • Based on established criteria, screens resumes, conducts initial phone interviews, and schedules subsequent in‐person or phone interviews.
  • Creates and/or updates internal and external job postings; Conducts reference checks.
  • Foster long‐term relationships with past applicants and potential candidates.
  • Performs pre‐employment onboarding and candidate communication activities such as but not limited to background checks, obtaining compensation approval as needed, and completing any internal documentation.
  • Extends and drafts offer, communicates important employment information (benefits, compensation, first day information, etc).
  • Responsible for internal communication regarding each new hire.
  • Maintains recruitment tracking and metric reports.
  • Recommends process improvements for improving data quality and process efficiencies.
  • Travel to various states and divisions as needed.
  • Sensitive and responsive to the cultural differences of staff, SAFY youth, foster parents and external vendors
  • Other duties or special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum 2‐4 years’ experience in a recruiting role.
  • Highly skilled in finding and securing passive candidates.
  • Knowledge of a variety of computer software applications and cloud based recruiting platforms.
  • Familiarity with various social media applications.
  • Practical knowledge of general HR principles and employment law.
  • Must be able to multi‐task and work independently in a fast‐paced environment. Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Must be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization with poise, tact and diplomacy.
  • Ability to provide continual attention to detail.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

What We Offer

  • Target Salary: $45,000-$53,000/ yearCompensation is commensurate with transferrable experience, education and licensure of candidate, along with internal equity and budgeted amount for the role.
