Schedule: Mon – Sat Flex Overview:
Must be able to perform all job duties of the Record Specialist I. Employee will be covering were needed in the department. They have learned different jobs in all areas of imaging, vault, LoanQc, Title Suspense and Memberhip QC. This job is vital to ensure volumes of documents and workflows are completed. Will be taught all aspects of Records Department. Could be asked to cover for a supervisor in their absence.
Responsibilities:
1. Assumes responsibility for the effective and timely performance of assigned payoff and Records' functions.

a. Must be able to perform all job duties of the Record Specialist I

b. Will cover in other area of the department

c. Can complete other jobs in LoanQC, vault, imaging or Title Suspense.

d. Knowledge of all aspects of Records. Make suggestion to improve processes.

e. May be asked to cover for a supervisor in their absence.

f. Attention to detail is mandatory to prevent losses of documents or titles released by mistake.

g. Assumes responsibility for AFCU mandatory training and adherence to AFCU Core Values.

h. Meets requirements to ensure that AFCU required training are completed in a timely manner through the Development Center.

i. Will participate in Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC) training that has been tailored to the employee's specific responsibilities. Will be held accountable for performance as it relates to BSA / AML / OFAC requirements and processes.

2. Assumes responsibility for maintaining professional working relations with members and business contacts.

a. Obtains and conveys information as needed.

b. Answers questions and resolves problems promptly and courteously.

c. Maintains and projects the Credit Union's professional reputation.

d. Be the expert in different areas of the department

3. Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective communication, coordination, and working relations with Credit Union personnel and with management.

a. Assists branches and departments as required.

b. Supports and replaces Records' personnel as needed.

c. Keeps management informed of area activities and of any significant problems.
Provides suggestions for improved service delivery.

4. Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.

a. Keeps work area clean, secure, and well maintained.

b. Completes special projects
Qualifications:
Training/Education/Certification:

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Additional business coursework helpful
  • At least 3 years of credit union experience

Required Knowledge:

  • Expertise in job duties of Record Specialist I
  • Knowledge of imaging policies and procedures, TREX and workflows.
  • Knowledge of Credit Union member documents and state title requirements.
  • Understanding of indexing and imaging processes, AIR/TellerPro system, and related computer applications.

Skills/Abilities:

  • Well organized.
  • Attentive to detail
  • Able to assist and coordinate activities with others.
  • Able to use PC, Imaging Systems, 10-key, telephone and other basic business equipment.
