Catholic Charities, Diocese of Metuchen is a non-profit, social services agency dedicated to helping those individuals in need and improving the quality of life to members in the community.

Receptionist - Part Time - Evening - Perth Amboy, NJ

Monday –Thursday 4PM -8PM

Responsibilities:

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) to manage the front desk Monday –Thursday 4PM -8PM
• Communicate with walk-in clients in English and Spanish for social services and contact appropriate staff persons
• Utilize MyEvolv to process client payments
• Ensure compliance with front office procedures, security and policies
• Conduct building-closing procedures
• Comfortable answering phones and handling a switchboard as well as dealing with a diverse clientele seeking social services
• Prioritize and multi-task as needed
• Adaptable with the ability to quickly learn and apply understanding of agency policies and procedures to situations necessitating discretion
• Able to work independently and with minimal supervision
• Exhibit good judgement
• Trustworthy and accurate with the ability to process cash, check and credit card payments precisely
• Computer proficient and able to quickly learn Agency specific computer applications

Requirements

• Bilingual and fluent in English and Spanish
• Exhibit a professional and pleasant demeanor
• Reliable and punctual
• Available to work evenings (4PM -8PM) Monday – Thursday
• Possibility to increase hours due to overlap and day-time coverage on an as needed basis
