Seeding the advanced manufacturing sector through the design, development and delivery of a range of education and training programmes from school engagement through to degree level is our core proposition.

Key activities will include:

• Acting as the first point of contact for guests, visitors, apprentices & contractors
• Deliver a first class guest experience and have the ability to think on their feet should any problems arise.
• Play a key part of OAS security processes in particularly the administration of the visitor, members and contractors access policy.
• Greet and welcome visitors as soon as they arrive at the reception desk and offer a farewell to guests on departure.
• Direct visitors to the appropriate personnel and/or meeting location
• Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material (e.g. pens, forms and brochures)
• Maintain security by controlling access via the reception desks in line with MTC Access Policy for visitors, members and contractors.
• Order front office supplies and keep inventory of stock
• Co-ordinate internal meeting room & catering requests and update internal meeting room diaries via the room booking system.
• Maintain up to date knowledge in respect of Event arrivals & requirements and planned visitors to OAS
• Actively promoting the importance of adhering to key policies (equality and diversity, safeguarding, bullying and harassment and discrimination) among the apprentice community.

Provide support to the training centre as and when required

About The MTC

The Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC) was established in 2010 as an independent Research & Technology Organisation (RTO) with the objective of bridging the gap between academia and industry – often referred to as ‘the valley of death’.

It represents one of the largest public sector investments in UK manufacturing and, after four years of planning and a 16 month build, the facility opened at Ansty Park in Coventry at the end of 2011.

In December 2011, there were 16 industrial members, 44 staff and just a few key pieces of equipment in the ‘workshop’.

Over the following 10+ years the MTC’s rapid growth has seen the expansion of our campus with the construction of three more facilities, including the opening of the Advanced Manufacturing Training Centre and the National Centre for Additive Manufacturing.

Our role has also increased to cover not only R&D but also Training, Advanced Manufacturing Management and Factory Design.

We now have over 800 talented employees working with us.

During this time we have helped hundreds of companies across a range of industries and over 100 of them have become members of the MTC.

Due to the nature of our business, all employment is subject to satisfactory references being obtained, attainment of either a SC (Security Check), Disclosure Scotland Criminal Record Check or Foreign Police Check (whichever is applicable depending on duration of UK residency) and, as applicable, a medical assessment. Access to US technical data by employees requires prior Trade Control function approval. Clearance must be carried out against all applicable US export control authorisations.

Salary: £22,000.00-£24,000.00 per year
