The Shipping and Receiving Supervisor supervises workers who confirm and record the receipt of shipments, prepare items for shipping, and load and unload trucks. Also responsible for managing the inter-departmental transport of materials. The Shipping/Receiving Supervisor may also be asked to assist with certain planning and scheduling for the plant.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Receive and send materials as needed to appropriate vendors. Manage this process through the use of the company’s ERP system, and in compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Assist in leading a workforce of up 10 people across 3 shifts
- Daily work will include:
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Familiarity with inputting shipping/receiving data into an ERP system.
- Build and ship via UPS/FedEx/external trucking companies
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed.
- Ability to create a plan and assist in execution of the plan
