We have an exciting opportunity for a Receiver to join our DO&CO Family within our New York Unit.

A day as a Purchasing Receiver:

• Receive ordered merchandise and verify quantity
• Check received merchandise (quality and quantity) and reject unacceptable merchandise according to internal procedures
• Check delivery notes
• Distribute merchandise internally according to food safety rules and storage orders
• Adheres to the HACCP and all other food safety rules (e.g. FIFO, date marking, correct storage etc.)

Who you are:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in storing and handling merchandise preferably in the food industry
• Proactive and self-organized
• Capable to work independently as well as in a team environment
• Ability to complete assigned tasks within the given time in order to meet strict deadlines
• Physically capable of lifting and moving objects up to 50 pounds as necessary
• Flexibility (different shifts–days, nights, weekends, holidays)
