This is a position for Diagnostic Imaging/Radiographer/X-Ray Technologist/CT Technologist/ Services for the Hopi Health Care Center in Polacca, AZ

Per Diem/Stipend: Lodging and Meals - $1000/wk

QUALIFICATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS FOR X-RAY/CT TECHNOLOGIST:

Education: Academic degree from an accredited Radiology Educational Program (Radiology).

Experience: Minimum two (2) year experience in Computed Tomography Licensure: Appropriate State License issued by Arizona Board of Examiners as directed by state law.

Certification: Current ARRT (The American Registry of Radiologic Technologist) certification in Diagnostic Imaging/Radiographer/X-Ray Technologist and Computerized Tomography (CT) and current BLS (Basic Life Support).

Job Description:

• Potential for overtime and on-call in addition to normal hours
• Technologist shall independently perform standard radiologic examinations, Computerized Tomography or Ultrasound examinations.
• Technologist will schedule patients for examinations.
• Technologist may be required to work beyond normal clinic hours, on weekends, Holidays, or after hours (on call) on an as needed basis for emergencies.
• Shift work will be required.
• Perform other assignments as determined by the Radiology Department Supervisor or Director of Professional Services.
• Personal Hygiene - Technologists shall be clean and neat in appearance and comply with the Service Unit dress code for professional Radiologic Technologists and present themselves in a professional manner commensurate with the nature of the profession and line of work.
• Be physically able to perform all duties required by the contract including working outside in the temperature extremes of summer or winter.

Requirements:

• Verification of Employment (VOE) required from a current or previous employer within the last three (3) years.
• Copy of valid ARRT (The American Registry of Radiologic Technologist) with certifications for Computer Tomography and Radiography.
• Copy of valid BLS (Basic Life Support).
• Copy of a valid, unrestricted License to practice from any of the 50 states of the United States of America.
• College Transcripts (conferred degree and certified training in the field).
• 2 years of experience in the same field
• Two (2) letters of reference from current or previous employers.

Long ago the Sicangu divided into the Kul Wicasa Oyate (lower people) and the Heyata Wicasa Oyate (uplands people). Our Kul Wicasa ancestors favored lands where the Maka Izita Ska (White River) empties into the Mni Sose (Missouri River), while the Heyata Wicasa lived higher up towards the Paha Sapa (Black Hills). In the 18th century, when French traders began to interact with our people, they translated our Sicangu name into French and began calling us the Brûlées. This is how we eventually became known as the Lower Brule Sioux Tribe.

Our homeland has no formal boundaries. For thousands of years, we have lived in the grasslands and river valleys between the Rocky Mountains and the Great Lakes – in recent centuries, west from the Missouri River in present-day South Dakota to the Platte River, in Nebraska, to the Yellowstone River in Wyoming and Montana, to the edge of the forests in Minnesota south of the Great Lakes.

As we walk along the paths of our ancestors, we Lower Brule people are strong and resilient, and so we continue to work hard to protect and preserve our culture and return to our traditional self-sufficiency in this modern world.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $120,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
