Radiologic Technologist - Full Time Night Shift and Per diem Flex shift available.

COMPENSATION is adjusted based on experience. 1 year minimum experience: $26.09/hr. Shift differentials of $.80 and $1.50/hr. Sign-On bonus $2,500!

Our Rad Techs operatestandard radiological equipment for radiographs (x-ray), Computerized Radiography (CR), and Bone Density for diagnostic purposes.

  • Prepares and positions patient for routine or specific examinations, x-ray, CR or fluoroscopic, observing any special requirements for each. Explains procedures to patient to reduce anxieties.
  • Operates x-ray equipment and adjusts equipment controls to set exposure factors to produce images of high quality. Practices radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patient and staff. Prepares all contrast material and media used in various examinations and follows correct sterile or unsterile technique. Assists Radiologist during fluoroscopic examinations and special procedures.Develops film when necessary.
  • Operates C-Arm machine, x-ray portable, and properly logs patient information
  • Operates a portable x-ray machine taking films at bedside or in surgery Operates film copier. Performs various CT studies according to protocol.
  • Responsible for entering patient information in the Hospital Information System, Radiology Information System (RIS), Picture Archive and Communication System (PACS), and all applicable worksheets. Responsible for making sure appropriate documents are filled out and signed by patient. Responsible for verifying script from ordering physician. Responsible for accurate billing of procedures.
  • May keep inventory and maintain stock with supplies, linen, etc; Performs routine office duties including but not limited to scheduling, reports, answering phone. Maintains cleanliness of equipment, accessories and cassettes. Maintains a clean, orderly and safe work area.
  • Sends images to PACS for interpretation by on site Radiology Technologist or the after-hour service; Responsible for making sure images transmit and report is sent by Radiologist or after hour service.
  • May supervise the department in the absence of the Imaging Manager and Imaging Supervisor.

Requires: High School OR (GED); AAS degree or higher with an accredited School of Radiological Technology program and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Must have current and maintained registration in New York State for Radiologic Technology.
  • Current ARRT
  • COVID19 Vaccination is required
