Here is some of what you can expect from being a Radiation Therapist with us:

• You will demonstrate the operation of all aspects of radiation-producing equipment to treat patients
• You will be responsible for positioning and monitoring patients for treatment and simulations
• You will perform treatments and assists the Radiation Oncologist with brachytherapy treatments
• You will be educating patients and families about treatments including possible side effects, skin care, and dietary requirements
• You will assess the psychological needs of patients and their families and provides emotional support and reassurance

Qualifications you will need for this role:

• Current registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, Radiation Therapy
• Current Radiologic Technician License (LRT) by the Kansas State Board of Healing Arts
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) verification course through American Heart Assoc. or American Red Cross - Healthcare Provider CPR
• Vocational School graduate from an accredited school of Radiation Therapy
• Previous experience as a Registered Radiation Therapist preferred
