Job Title: R&D Technologist

Job Description: Element Staffing is recruiting for a R&D Technologist for an oilfield chemicals company in Houston, TX. The R&D Technician will perform laboratory analysis, product development, and research on drilling, workover, completion, and fracturing fluids. Previous experience in an oilfield chemicals laboratory is preferred.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Perform laboratory analysis by use of HTHP, rheology testing, viscosity, pour point, flash point, particle size analysis, and various other established methods and procedures.
• Operate, maintain, and perform basic troubleshooting on laboratory equipment.
• Formulate new products upon request by Product Managers and Engineers.
• Participate in performance and cost analysis of company products and fluid formulations.
• Conduct quality control tests on company products and distribute information to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct tests and prepare documentation for engineering tables, sales brochures, technical papers, trade journals, professional societies, and patent applications.
• Maintain sufficient laboratory inventory of chemicals, raw materials, testing equipment, and company products.
• Participate in customer seminars and assist in training programs for sales organization and customers.
• Keep abreast of current drilling, workover, completion, and fracturing fluid technology.
• Cooperate and communicate fully with other corporate personnel to meet corporate objectives.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

• Shift/Travel: M-F, 8a-5p
• Compensation: DOE
• Assignment Type: Direct Hire

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $65,000.00 per year
