Job Summary:

Under minimal supervision of the Director of Operations, the Quotations Manager provides leadership and oversight to a team of Quotations Specialists responsible for responding to customer inquiries. The individual selected will collaborate with all areas of the business and peers to drive continuous improvement in the quality and cost of delivered service to BDA’s customers and manufacturers.

Responsibilities:

· Provide leadership and management to direct reports for quotations to support external and internal customers

· Develop standards, training needs, growth opportunities, annual objectives and performance appraisals for direct reports

· Prioritize work load for customer inquiries for each direct report

· Establish metrics to measure quote cycle time, on-time quote delivery & productivity

· Develop and maintain standard work procedures

· Measure and drive continuous improvement in speed, quality, and cost of quotation process for all lines

· Collaborate with the Outside Sales teams to establish customer expectations and partner to win jobs

· Promote the deployment and usage of productivity tools to improve customer response times, quote lead times, quotation accuracy and internal efficiencies.

· Ensure all employees are trained appropriately to perform job functions with appropriate cross-training to ensure business needs are met

· Approve vacation, leave and travel for direct reports

· Experience with market research and comparative manufacturer pricing.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent.

At least five years related experience required.
