Job Summary

Reports directly to the Quality Manager with developing and maintaining a system that all products manufactured by the organization meet customer specifications and achieve superior quality and reliability levels.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

• Conduct cause analysis
• Root cause analysis.
• Corrective active implementation.
• Verify corrective action implementation.
• Interface with customer(s) to solve quality problems
• Coordinate procedure implementation. Interact with manufacturing to ensure correct procedure implementation. Follow TS-16949 processes.
• Facilitate customer relationships. Negotiate with customer for limit samples and/or part acceptance.
• Support new product programs and APQP efforts on new production programs
• Prepare PFMEA & control plans with team support
• Document quality related actions
• Test plans
• Communicate with other departments regarding quality related issues, including continuous improvement elements of product quality or quality systems.
• Stay abreast of technical and system developments in the quality field and offer continuous improvement suggestions relating to these developments.
• Supervise 5 Quality Technicians across 3 shifts (will work on 1st shift)

Additional Duties & Responsibilities

• Involvement in TS-16949 system development, implementation, and internal audits.
• PPAP/ISIR Coordinate development and submission
• Problem solving
• SPC
• Use of gauges and fixtures
• Quality principles
• Train other associates on quality topics.
• Direct daily activities of ongoing quality projects.

Skills

• Statistical analysis, precision measurement, and process capability studies are an intricate part of the quality assurance program; formal education in courses related to these areas such as mathematics, statistics, and cause/countermeasure understanding, and industrial practices are essential for this position.

Education & Experience Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in engineering
• CQE is required
