2nd shift - work schedule 3:00 - 11:30 p.m.


JOB MISSION:

Work closely with Manufacturing Associates and members of the Leadership Team to achieve consistent quality results through a consistent process. Support the quality control of in process materials/product as well as the quality assurance of incoming materials and finished goods within the manufacturing environment. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  • Conducts in process reviews (QC) against work instruction and quality specification sheets and determines if operation and product being evaluated is compliant – 60% of time.
  • Inspects a selection of finished product (QA) against customer expectations and NB Global Standards - 20% of time.
  • Assist manufacturing in problem solving quality issues by identifying root cause, trialing and implementing countermeasures. May need to develop interim containment plans as necessary. – 20% of time
  • Designs and creates spreadsheets as needed to gather and analyze inspection data for use within the facility and/or as part of SMR process.
  • Works with supervisors and other quality related associates to resolve issues as identified by the inspections and to continuously improve methods used.
  • Perform daily tasks including data entry, track returned finished goods movement through the facility, and assist others in understanding quality issues.
  • Communicates with manufacturing personnel regarding various quality concerns and involves associates to come up with ideas to improve quality.
  • Utilize, create and make available as appropriate style specific product information, i.e. go-by’s, SOP’s, style specific parameters.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:
  • High school diploma or equivalent and 5 plus years in a manufacturing and/or a quality assurance environment. Associate’s degree preferred.
  • Understanding and working knowledge of quality tools and problem solving methodology
  • Ability to recognize and problem solve root cause(s) of defective product.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Computer skills required including Office (Word, Excel)
  • Able to lift light to moderate weight materials up to 35lbs.
